1 Introduction
Welcome to Chart Maker ("we", "our", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application Chart Maker (the "App") handles information when you use it.
By using Chart Maker, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2 Information We Collect
Chart Maker does not collect any personal data. Specifically:
- We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personal identifiers.
- We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data.
- We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
- We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies.
📱 All chart data (chart names, data points, themes, settings) is stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. This data is never uploaded to any server.
3 Data Storage
Chart Maker stores the following data locally on your device:
- Charts: Chart names, data labels, values, and chart type configurations you create.
- Preferences: Your selected theme (dark/light mode), chart color palette, and app settings.
- Exported Files: When you export charts as CSV or PNG, files are saved to your device's shared storage or shared via your device's share dialog.
This data remains on your device and is not accessible to us or any third party. Uninstalling the App will delete all locally stored data.
4 Third-Party Services
Chart Maker does not integrate with any third-party services that collect data. The App:
- Does not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, or any analytics platform.
- Does not use any advertising networks.
- Does not use social media login or tracking pixels.
- Does not transmit data to any external servers.
5 Permissions
Chart Maker may request the following device permissions:
- Storage (optional): To save exported PNG images and CSV files to your device. This permission is only used when you explicitly choose to export a chart.
We do not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or any other sensitive permissions.
6 Children's Privacy
Chart Maker does not collect any data from any user, including children under 13 years of age. Since no personal data is collected, the App inherently complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.
7 Data Security
Since all data is stored locally on your device and never transmitted over the internet, your data security is managed by your device's own security features (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We recommend keeping your device security settings enabled.
8 Data Retention & Deletion
All data is stored on your device for as long as the App is installed. To delete all data:
- Clear the App's data from your device Settings → Apps → Chart Maker → Clear Data.
- Or simply uninstall the App — all associated data will be removed.
9 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
