Flowly is built with an offline-first, privacy-centric architecture. We do not collect, track, store, or transmit your personal data, diagrams, flowcharts, or files to any external servers. Everything you create stays securely on your device.
1. Information We Collect
We believe your diagrams and ideas belong exclusively to you. Flowly operates without user accounts or mandatory registrations.
- No Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, or contacts.
- No Account Required: You can access all flowcharting features immediately without creating an account or logging in.
- No Diagram Uploads: All diagrams, flowcharts, nodes, connections, and metadata created within Flowly remain locally on your device's internal storage.
2. Device Permissions & Usage
Flowly only accesses device capabilities when you explicitly initiate an action:
- Storage & File Access (Read/Write): Used solely when you manually import diagram files (JSON) or export your flowcharts as PDF documents, images, or backup files.
- Local Storage (Preferences): Used strictly on-device to save your user preferences (such as theme and editor settings) and local flowchart documents.
- Share & Print: Used only when you trigger the native Android/iOS system share dialog or print manager to share or print your flowcharts.
3. Third-Party Services & Data Sharing
Flowly does not sell, rent, monetize, or transfer your personal data or diagram contents to any third parties or data brokers.
- No Third-Party Trackers: The app does not include intrusive third-party behavioral analytics or advertising tracking SDKs.
- Google Play Services: Standard Android platform services (such as Google Play Services) may manage routine app distribution and crash reporting as governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Since all diagrams and configurations reside entirely on your device, you have complete control over your data:
- You can delete any flowchart or diagram directly from the application at any time.
- Uninstalling the app or clearing the app cache/data via your device settings will permanently remove all stored diagrams and preferences.
5. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Flowly does not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13. Because the application operates offline and does not harvest user data, it is safe for users of all ages.
6. Data Security
The security of your data is safeguarded by your operating system's built-in application sandboxing and encryption mechanisms. Because we do not transmit or store your files on external cloud servers, your creations are protected against remote server breaches.
