Canvas Notes Studio is designed as a private, local-first visual note-taking app. We do not collect data from this app, we do not sell data, we do not show ads, and we do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Information We Collect

We do not collect personal information or user content from Canvas Notes Studio.

Information Stored on Your Device

Canvas Notes Studio may store the following information locally on your Mac to make the app work:

• Notes, node text, graph connections, saved canvas data, and note titles you create.
• App preferences such as selected theme, light or dark mode, and onboarding completion status.
• A locally generated device identifier used only inside the app's local storage.

This information remains on your device and is not transmitted to us.

Local Storage

The app stores your current canvas, saved local notes, theme preferences, onboarding status, and device identifier on your Mac using local app storage. This data stays on your device.

Cloud Notes

The Mac App Store version of Canvas Notes Studio does not collect or transmit your notes to a cloud service operated by us. Your notes are stored locally on your Mac.

Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking

Canvas Notes Studio does not include advertising SDKs, does not sell personal information, does not use third-party ad tracking, and does not collect analytics events for marketing or profiling.

How We Use Information

Local app data is used on your device only to provide core features, including:

• Saving and restoring your visual note canvases.
• Loading saved notes and updating existing notes.
• Remembering your app preferences.

Data Sharing

We do not collect, sell, rent, or share your notes or personal information.

Data Retention and Deletion

Local app data remains on your Mac until you delete it, reset the app, or uninstall the app and remove its stored data.

Children's Privacy

Canvas Notes Studio is not intended to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can help remove it.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect app data. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
